Overview

Model 9065 RJ45 A/B/Offline Switch with Manual Keylock Switching Control
The Model 9065 RJ45 A/B/Off-Line Switch with Keylock from Electro Standards Laboratories — is a manual network port switch that lets you physically switch an Ethernet connection between two different networks/devices or disconnect it completely for security/isolation. The LineSelect® Model 9065 switch module allows the user to switch a device connected to the COMMON port between devices connected to ports A or B. In the event the user wishes all of the ports to be isolated from each other, simply select the "C" or Off-Line position by turning the keylock actuator accordingly. In the keylock C position, all ports are isolated from each other. The Model 9025 accommodates up to eight Model 9065 modules. The Model 9025 is a 3U, full rack size chassis designed to fit in a standard 19" rack.
-
Provides Switching Security and Port-to-Port Isolation.

What It Does
This unit has three RJ45 Ethernet ports labeled A, B, and COMMON. You plug a device into the COMMON port and two possible upstream Ethernet sources into A and B. A front-panel keylock lets you:
-
Select Position A: The device on COMMON communicates with the network/device on port A.
-
Select Position B: The device on COMMON talks to the network/device on port B.
-
Select OFFLINE: All ports are electrically isolated — no network connection at all — for secure disconnect.
LineSelect® Module Model 9065 A/B/OFFLINE Switch Function Diagram:
The diagram drawing illustrates a COMMON device connected to the COMMON port with access to two devices connected to the RJ45 ports. The Keylock switch allows the selection of three positions. Position A selects Device A or Position B selects Device B. The third position C selects an OFFLINE position and no data passes. OFFLINE position is Secure Mode, and all ports are isolated in the "C" position.

Typical Uses for the Model 9065 Switch Module:
Secure network switching
•Swap a system between two separate networks (for example a secure internal network vs. a test network) with a keyed control so only authorized personnel can flip it.
•Put the connection into a physically isolated Offline position for maintenance or security reasons (like a hardware firewall, but manual).
Legacy or control systems
•In industrial automation or process control environments where you might need to hard-switch a controller or device between two network segments without using a software or electronic switch.
Reducing cross-connections
•Prevent unintended cross-traffic between networks — useful for compliance, safety, or troubleshooting. Some environments prefer physical disconnection over VLANs or software-controlled switching.
