New DB9 Switch Provides Quick and Easy Sharing of 3 Devices with both Local & Remote Control
December 8, 2010
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Electro Standards Laboratories (ESL), Cranston, RI, has just announced its Model 7270 Single Channel DB9 Interface A/B/C Switch. This low profile, rackmount unit increases network efficiency by allowing the sharing of a single DB9 device among three others.
This efficient network switch may be controlled locally by a front panel pushbutton or remotely via ASCII RS232 Serial data commands to allow users to change switch position or query switch status. The Model 7270 also features latching relays that maintain connection and switch position during power loss. All 9 pins of the DB9 interface are switched and switched ports are transparent to all data.
