M6287 All-Optic Fiber A/B Switch Multimode SC Duplex 62.5 Micron with Remote 10-BASE-T LAN Access
June 30, 2008
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Electro Standards Laboratories (ESL), Cranston, RI, has just announced its new QuickSwitch Model 6287 Fiber Optic Multimode SC Duplex A/B switch with 10 Base-T LAN Access. This network switch allows access to two separate Fiber Optic networks or devices, ports A & B, via connection through a network or device connected to the Common port. The switching mechanism is based on Micro Electro Mechanical System (MEMS) multimode mirror type switches.
Insertion losses are less than 1.0 dB. Switch locally via pushbutton or remotely via FTP file transfer communications over 10-Base-T. Switch position status may be attained via the front panel LED display or the remote Graphical User Interface software via the Remote LAN port located on the rear panel. In the event of a power loss, the switch reverts to the default position and continues to pass data. The A, B, and COMMON ports are SC Duplex and allow bidirectional data flow.
