M4407 Control this RJ45 A/B Switch from Dual RS232 Serial Remote Ports!

April 30, 2008

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Electro Standards Laboratories has just announced its new Model 4407 Remotely Controllable RJ45 A/B Switch. Manage critical network resources from remote locations with the Model 4407. Use this switch to remotely switch printers, terminals, programmable logic controllers, bar code readers, backup data links, etc.

Operate this switch locally simply by depressing the front-panel pushbutton or remotely over either or both of two RS232 serial remote ports. A device, connected to either of the two REMOTE ports, sends the proper trigger character over an RS232 serial port to change the state of the Model 4407. This switch can also be queried remotely without changing the switch position status. All eight pins of the A/B/Com ports are supported and switched.

The reliable Model 4407 network switch is engineered to maintain switch position and continuity in the event of a power failure. This durable switch features an all-aluminum enclosure designed to be EMI/RFI (interference) resistant in noisy environments. Other control configurations and interfaces such as contact closure and TTL levels are available.  For more details, click here: http://www.electrostandards.com/ProductDetail/?productid=228
