Real-World Application & Customer Benefit
A calibration laboratory utilizes the Model 8425 DB37 Switch in a torque calibration system. Previously, the lab had (3) Torque Transducers and (1) Display. Each time the technician switched from one transducer to another, they had to unplug and re-plug cables—a process that introduced wear and tear, increased downtime, and raised the risk of damage to expensive transducer cabling.
By installing the Model 8425, the lab now simply rotates the front-panel switch on the Model 8425 to select the desired transducer (A, B, C) connected to their display (Common port).

The result?
- Reduced cable and connector wear, because the transducers are no longer repeatedly unplugged and plugged.
- Faster switching between transducers, increasing throughput and reducing labor time.
- Lower downtime and cost, since damaged cabling and connectors mean fewer interruptions and repair/replacement expenses.
