Manufacturing / Production Manager – Electronics Manufacturing
Electro Standards Laboratories is seeking an experienced, hands-on Manufacturing / Production Manager to lead our electronics manufacturing operation in Cranston, RI.
This position is ideal for a manufacturing professional who combines strong production leadership with practical technical knowledge of electronics manufacturing, assembly equipment, and quality standards.
*Must possess US Citizenship due to our work with the U.S. Department of Defense.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily manufacturing operations, personnel, priorities, and production schedules.
- Plan and coordinate production to meet delivery and quality requirements.
- Understand SMT pick-and-place equipment and processes for circuit board assembly.
- Understand CNC machining equipment for fabrication of metal components and enclosures.
- Possess strong knowledge of surface-mount and through-hole soldering, PCB assembly, PCB DFM, wiring, and connector termination.
- Ensure workmanship meets applicable J-STD, IPC 610 and IPC 620 standards.
- Spearhead AS9100 quality management system. To include management review, internal auditing, CA/PA, root cause removal, SPC, continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Experience in electronics manufacturing process controls and production leadership.
- Strong leadership, scheduling, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of electronic and electromechanical assembly.
- Experience with SMT/pick-and-place equipment and processes.
- Experience with or working knowledge of CNC machining.
- Familiarity with AS9100/ISO quality systems and J-STD/IPC standards.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation.
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship
