Electro Standards Laboratories is a privately held company with expertise in electric motor systems, sensorless motor controls, power electronics, control systems, digital signal processor based electronics, mechanics, software programming, GPS, Web-enabled systems, multilevel inverters, and embedded instrumentation.

Applications include motor and power electronics simulations, aircraft launch systems, hybrid electric vehicles, and embedded smart sensors. Engineering Careers at Electro Standards

  • Job: Electrical Engineer
    • BS/MS or PHD with background in electric induction motor controls, Simulink, and MatLab simulation tools, power electronics and embedded DSP hardware systems. Electro Standards Laboratories is involved in a variety of leading-edge projects including electronic controls systems.
  • Job: Electrical Engineer
    • Embedded hardware and firmware development. Experience with microprocessors, C Code, control systems, and power electronics desirable. Applications include innovative instrumentation products, motor controls, power inverters.
      • Qualifications: BS/MS or PHD in Electrical Engineering, with background in electric induction motor control design and controls, Simulink and Matlab simulation tools, power electronics system, and DSP bases systems. US Citizen (for Government contract).
  • Job: Programmer
    • Computer or Electrical Engineer skilled in programming embedded hardware and/or real-time GUI interfaces. Experience with C/C++, LabWindows CVI, and 8051 family processors desirable. Innovative communications and instrumentation products. 
      • BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with background in embedded processor programming.
  • Job: Dynamic Models and System Simulations Design
    • You will have the opportunity to develop dynamic models and system simulations for novel induction motor design and for system controls and power electronics. Develop physical tests to identify important motor and system parameters and model verification with experimental data. Develop and verify control algorithms to meet performance objectives. Use Simulink and Matlab simulation tools extensively.
      • Qualifications: MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering with background in electric motors and controls, power electronics systems, and DSP based systems.
  • Job: Hardware and Real-Time Control Design
    • Take your knowledge, apply it, grow it! Design and develop hardware and real-time controls for linear induction motors and associated power electronics. Includes embedded DSP controls, prototyping and testing, dynamic modeling and simulations.
      • Qualifications: MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering with background in electric motors and controls, power electronics systems, and DSP based systems.
  • Job: Instrumentation, Control, Power Electronics Design
    • Use every skill you have acquired in this versatile position. Design and develop instrumentation, controls and power electronics for leading-edge applied research and development projects. Embedded programming, hardware design, DSP-based design.
      • Qualifications: BS or MS in Electrical Engineering. Background in digital design and embedded programming.
  • Job: Communication Products Design
    • The Data Communication world is dynamic. Take the challenge, design products such as the ESL Keylock Video Conference Room Secure Switching System that includes both copper and fiber switches. Design data network switches and switching systems, embedded programming, hardware, DSP design. The product support aspect of the position will connect you with IT Managers who need your expertise in switch design for their commercial and government data centers.
      • Qualifications: BS in Electrical Engineering. Background in digital design and embedded programming.

Technical Careers at Electro Standards

Electro Standards designs and manufactures state-of-the-art data communication switches and cable assemblies. Our products include ruggedized data and fiber optic switches for demanding and secure environments including nuclear facilities and shipboard networks. Our assemblers build custom manual and remotely controllable electronic switches and switching systems. We manufacture all types of data cable assemblies including fiber and the new MTP®/MPO Fiber Optic Fan-out Cables.

  • Job: Metal Fabricator
    • To modify or custom cut small panels for electronic products. Familiarity with CNC milling machine helpful - Will train motivated individual.
  • Job: Data Switch and Cable Assemblers
    • Electronic assemblers/solderers for circuit boards, fiber optic cables and data cables. Assemble data communication switches and cable assemblies including fiber optic. Our products have been installed in schools, financial data centers and Government facilities.
      • Experience in soldering perferred.
  • Job: Measurement Instrument Assemblers
    • Assemble measurement instrumentation including smart load cell indicators and intelligent digital signal conditioners. These products have applications in research and industrial settings.
