The PathWay® Model 4143 RS232 DB25 Automatic Fallback AB Switch allows the user the capability of sharing a single DB25 interface device connected to the COMMON port among two other devices connected to the A and B ports with local and remote access functionality.  Remote access of the Automatic Fallback Switch can be accomplished using Pin 9 of the DB25 COMMON port.

• The switch ports are transparent to all data.
• All 25 pins of the DB25 interface are switched.
• All switched signals are passed via latching copper contact relays
  that maintain their position and continuity even in the event of a
  power loss or failure.
• Control of the switch position using Pin 9 of the DB25 Common port
  or alternatively, the front panel pushbutton.
• A transition from 5 VDC to 0 VDC on Pin 9 of the DB25 Common port triggers the unit to switch positions.
• Custom length DB25 cables available. 

• PORT CONNECTORS: (3) DB25 (F) connectors labeled A, B, and Common.
• FRONT PANEL CONTROL: (1) Manual pushbutton allows local switching.
• DISPLAY: (2) Front panel LED's display switch position and power status.
• REMOTE CONTROL: Transition signals on pin 9 of the COMMON port DB25 will trigger a change to the switch position.
• POWER: UL approved 110 / 120 VAC, 60 Hz wall mount power module supplies 12 VAC, 500mA to the unit.
• DIMENSIONS: Desktop 7.9" W x 7.25" D x 2.0" H.
• WEIGHT: Approximately 2.8 lbs 

APPLICATION: Automatic Fallback mode is controlled by Pin 9 of the DB25 COMMON Port.
