NEW PRODUCT RELEASE

Model 6296 Fiber Optic Bypass Network Switch

Electro Standards Laboratories, Cranston, RI, announces the new QuickSwitch® Model 6296 LC Duplex Bypass Switch. This sleek rackmount unit supports connections between four sets of devices or peripherals connected to the A, B, C and D ports in two positions, Normal and Bypass, with convenient front panel pushbutton control of the switch. Normal position connects A to B and C to D allowing equipment connected to the B and C ports to be brought into the network. Bypass position connects A directly to D, isolating equipment connected to ports B and C from the network.

The Model 6296 Fiber Optic Switch features MEMS-based mirror/prism technology supporting Gigabit data rates and the switch ports are transparent to all data.  All fiber optic ports are LC Duplex Angle Polished Connectors, single mode, 9/125 micron and support a wavelength range of 1310nm – 1610nm.
